Branding
Few.pl (Foundation of Visual Education) is the main organiser of this event and in 2005 they wanted to create a brand for the festival that would stay with them through the years. This was the fourth annual festival and it was the year when they first got their main sponsor Nikon.
We decided to create a campaign around the portrait of the photographer Henri Cartier Bresson, who is famous for never having been seen in a photograph without a Leica covering his face. The reasons we chose this was firstly, that one of the photographers responsible for one of the famous portraits had an exhibition at the Fotofestiwal; and also there was a strong reportage theme across the exhibitions on display that year. The idea was to have “Henri” photographing (while being photographed) in different locations around Lodz. This was then used in all the promotional materials that year. It was very well received and the campaign photos were then also exhibited at the festiwal.
We created all their print and online materials, including fliers, neck passes, map guides, invitations, billboards, skylights, posters and of course their album. We also created a new logo which I am happy to report is still being used today. You can find out more about the Fotofestiwal by clicking the link.
