Lodz Getto Project

The Lodz Getto project, was the first showing of pictures of the Jewish ghetto in Lodz. The photos have been all around world and for the first time they would coming back home. This was another project done with Few.pl (Foundation of Visual Education) . This however was a very special project that was truly an honour to be a part of.

There was a lot of press surrounding this exhibition and it was as much a political event as it was an artistic one. We were commissioned to create the promotional materials for the whole thing, including the album, leaflets, post cards and invitations. The design was very minimal for this project, as I really wanted it to feel respectful and have the images do the talking. The dirty look you see around the images was inspired by Henryka Rossa, the photographer, who  buried the photos somewhere in Lodz before he fled Poland. 30 – 40 years later his son dug up the photos and had them developed.

The results from the project were very well received and be viewed below.
