My work / Video Work
Sunday January 11, 2009What Hi-Fi : Presentation
Press launch presentional video
The video was created as a spur of the moment, last-minute decision by What Hi-Fi to make a proper introduction to the site to the public. The deadline for finishing the whole video was under a week, and this included recording the audio (and editing it), sourcing music, coming up with a concept and fully animating the whole thing. It was a lot of late nights, but it came out looking really good. I also had the help from Gary Brown who did other bits of animation and setting up scenes in After Effects to increase productivity.
The final product was extremely well received and got many advertisers interested.

Below you can see an example of one of the video idents I made for them for their How-to section (and later reviews and news)
I really like the video. The animation, text, and graphics are really clean and professional. The only thing I found that I don’t like is that there is a good amount of “popping” on some of the P’s and B’s in the audio. An example would be at 1:24 where she says “buyer”. I’m not sure if you used a pop-blocker ($15 online) or not when recording the audio, but if that issue could be resolved this would be a top notch video. By the way, I really like the site. I found it while looking at this page: http://www.ndesign-studio.com/blog/wordpress/best-wordpress-sites/ and I saw your comment. It looks good. I’m also looking to redesign my site and I think I’m going to try wordpress.
