Photo Festival Union is the brainchild of Few.pl. The concept was to create a sort of union between all the photographic festivals in Europe and Russia.
The idea was to have a single place that would have information on all the festivals that year, as finding out about these things across Europe is difficult. Not everyone knows about all the “going-on’s” in, let’s say, Bratislava. So once a year a chosen festival would take it upon themselves to create some collective promotional material, be it an album, website, exhibition, etc. The first year was taken on by the FotoFestiwal in Lodz, since that is Few.pl’s festival. It was a great idea, but I don’t know if it ever got off the ground as the site we made for them back in 2005 is still the same, which is unfortunate. I would have liked to have seen other festivals carry on the torch.
